About Riot Hound

I’m an artist based in Philadelphia, where I’m lucky to live and work alongside a queer community that constantly inspires me. I’ve been making art since childhood, and while my tools and materials have changed over time, the urge to make things by hand has never left.

My practice centers on pointillism, linocut, and digital art. I’m drawn to ink, repetition, and the slow, tedious nature of these processes I like work that takes time, asks for patience, and leaves room for experimentation. I’m always looking for new ways to push traditional methods, whether that’s through texture, humor, or subject matter.

I’m a butch lesbian, and my queerness is inseparable from my work. The themes I return to again and again are queerness, community, animals, and humor. My work is deeply personal, but I believe the personal is political, especially when it comes to visibility, care, and chosen family.

Riot Hound Studio started out of necessity. I was broke, unemployed, and finding creative ways to make gifts for people I loved. That turned into friends asking for pet portraits, then encouraging me to sell my work and eventually into the studio you see now. The name Riot Hound is inspired by my foster-fail bulldog, Honey, who is my biggest muse and the subject I draw most often. She represents loyalty, joy, defiance, and softness all at once.

Through Riot Hound Studio, I make prints, illustrations, and custom pet portraits that celebrate animals, love, and the messy, meaningful connections between us. If you’re here to look, collect, or commission something personal, I’m glad you found your way here and I’d love to hear from you!
